Philippians 2 – The Mind of Christ
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 2:5, NKJV)
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling… for it is God who works in you.” (vv. 12–13)

- Paul calls for unity, humility, and sacrificial love among believers

📖 ANALYZE THE MESSAGE (What does it mean?)
1. Unity Through Humility (vv. 1–4)
“Fulfill my joy by being like-minded…”
Paul pleads for harmony rooted in love and humility
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition… but in lowliness of mind”
Put others first — don’t live self-centered
2. The Mind of Christ (vv. 5–11)
“Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God…”
Jesus humbled Himself:
- Became a servant
- Came in human flesh
- Obeyed to the point of death
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him…”
Every knee will bow, every tongue confess: Jesus Christ is Lord
3. Work Out What God Works In (vv. 12–13)
“Work out your own salvation… for it is God who works in you…”
We’re not working for salvation — but working from salvation
God empowers both our desire and ability to obey
4. Shine Like Lights (vv. 14–18)
“Do all things without complaining and disputing…”
Grumbling dims your light
“That you may become blameless… children of God… in the midst of a crooked generation.”
We’re called to shine by holding fast the Word of life
Paul sees even his suffering as a joyful offering
5. Examples of Faithfulness (vv. 19–30)
“I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state…”
Timothy is a faithful servant — not self-seeking
“Epaphroditus… nearly died for the work of Christ”
He risked his life to serve Paul and the Philippians
“Receive him… and hold such men in esteem.”
