Ed Smith

Husband, father, follower of Christ. Writing from inside the process, not from a place of arrival.

Ed Smith spent decades managing what he kept hidden, until everything he was managing came fully into the light. The exposure was complete. There was no version left to draft. What followed was not a quick fix. It was a process — one marked by honesty, accountability, counseling, biblical discipleship, and recovery work.

Through that process, Ed began to understand how real change actually happens. Not through willpower. Through dependence, structure, and connection. Through the integration of two streams that turned out to be teaching the same thing from different directions — the cognitive behavioral work of Dr. David Burns and the Christ-centered recovery program Re:Generation.

Ed and his wife, Cindy, live in Texas. He walks beside men in Re:Generation groups and Texas Sex Offender Treatment Programs. He leads the five-stage Transformation Path he teaches in the trilogy. He continues the work of staying in the light — daily.

Cindy's walk through her own Stage One is now part of the work too. She came to faith during Re:Generation, was baptized alongside Ed, and contributes a chapter in her own voice to Book Three.

Ed is the author of the Living in the Light Series, published by Smith For Christ Publishing.
