“Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14, NKJV)
“Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (v. 25)
🔍 CAPTURE THE SCENE (What Do I See?)
- The Lord appears to Abraham near the oaks of Mamre.
- Three men (a theophany—God in visible form with two angels) visit him.
- Abraham shows humble hospitality and prepares a meal.
- The Lord reaffirms Sarah will have a son by this time next year.
- Sarah laughs in disbelief—God hears it and gently rebukes her.
- Then God reveals His plan to judge Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Abraham intercedes on behalf of the righteous in the city, asking if God would spare it for 50… 45… 40… all the way down to 10.
- God agrees—but judgment will still come because not even 10 righteous are found.
