📖 ANALYZE THE MESSAGE (What Does It Mean?)
1. Tribal Inheritance Is Restored (vv. 1–29)
- Each tribe receives an equal horizontal strip of land from north to south.
- Dan is listed first, then Asher, Naphtali, etc., all the way down to Gad.
- The Holy Portion is carved out in the center—not for any tribe, but for God.
- This shows that Israel’s covenant inheritance will be completely restored.
2. The Sacred Center (vv. 8–20)
- A rectangular section is devoted to:
- The sanctuary and priests
- The Levites
- The Prince’s land
- The layout reveals that God is the central figure of the entire land—all things revolve around Him.
3. The City of the Lord (vv. 30–35)
- The city has 12 gates, named after the 12 tribes of Israel, like in Revelation 21.
- It is a planned, perfect square—a picture of unity, order, and peace.
- The crowning moment: the city is called YHWH Shammah—“The Lord is there.”
- No more exile.
- No more separation.
- God will dwell with His people forever.

- Heaven Is Real, and God Will Be There
- “The Lord is there” is not just a future hope—it’s the ultimate reality of eternity.
- This is our destiny: to be with Him forever (John 14:3).
- Every Tribe Is Named
- The 12 tribes, though scattered for centuries, are remembered by name.
- God doesn’t forget His people—He writes their names on gates.
