James 1:1-8

James was the leader of the church of Jerusalem and the brother of Jesus that became a follower only after Jesus’ Resurrection. He writes, if you’re going to be a Christian, be a real one.

Hope Words in my Bible say: “Your greatest lessons in faith are often learned in the dark.”

James speaks a lot like his brother Jesus. Asking a question with a command or answering a question with a question that leads to a command. His follow up was always with action. Faith without action is dead.

James 1:2. Consider it a great JOY when trials and testing come. The testing of your faith produces endurance to become mature and complete lacking nothing.

James 1:5-7 Ask God for wisdom in faith without doubting; don’t be double minded and unstable in all your ways.

Trials grow us and confirms us into the image of Jesus.

Good communicates wisdom through prayer, Word and godly counsel.

Stop whining, complaining, excuses, quitting because your Crown is waiting. Get right with God and get His power to live a victorious life.

Doubt deletes….any potential,

Doubt deletes any prayer.

Doubt deletes any promises.

Doubt deletes any purpose.

Doubt deletes and is like an eraser. Write the vision clearly so those that read it will run. Hab 2:2-3. Though it tarry, wait for it; for the appointed time will come. People perish for lack of vision. Find your value in identify and purpose, find your voice to declare then do it; find your vision to by faith walk it out.

Doubt leads to double mindedness and being unstable in all your ways.

Reading without action is like hearing without doing…the Word of God, the Will of God and the Ways of God. Wisdom is knowledge activated.

Jesus in the Healing of the lame man at Pool of Bethesda was powerful for me to hear on memorial Sunday. Jesus asked the man, “Do you want to be healed?” The man gave many reasons why he wasn’t healed. Jesus then replied with instructions, “GET UP! Take up your bed and walk!” The man had a decision to make. A choice to take instruction from the Great Healer. To get up by faith without doubt and all of a sudden, he was healed as he was getting up. Then the man did repent and turn and went his way telling everyone that he had been healed by Jesus. It happened on the Sabbath; Jesus was more concerned with relationship than Religion and its rules.

When Jesus said take up your bed; the bed is your comfort place, that knows you very well; it’s a place of refuge and rest. By taking up his bed; he was changing his environment to never return there again. Healed for life to declare his testimony and the power of Jesus name to heal and restore that which was taken. All things …For our good and God’s glory. Romans 8:28

Proverbs today was Proverbs 27:17 friendships are most important, iron sharpens iron so a man sharpens another.

Why I’m so thankful for my family who have become my friends to sharpen me, speak truth to me, hold me accountable, to love me unconditionally.
