Ezekiel 40 – Vision of the Millennial Temple Begins
“In the visions of God He took me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain…” (Ezekiel 40:2, NKJV)
“Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears… declare to the house of Israel everything you see.” (v. 4)
🔍 CAPTURE THE SCENE (What Do I See?)
- It’s the 25th year of Israel’s exile—God gives Ezekiel a final, majestic vision.
- Ezekiel is taken to a very high mountain in Israel, likely symbolic of the spiritual elevation of what he’s about to see.
- He sees a man with a measuring rod (possibly an angel), who begins to walk Ezekiel through the dimensions of a future temple.
- The temple is unlike any previous one—it is massive, symmetrical, and perfectly ordered.
- Ezekiel is told to pay attention and report everything to Israel.

🛠 EXECUTE – How Does This Affect My Life?
Key Principle: God is a God of detail, order, and glory. What He has planned for the future reveals His holiness and His desire to dwell with us forever.
- God’s Plans Are Precise
- He doesn’t do anything randomly.
- The future Kingdom is measured, ordered, and holy—and so should our lives be.
- This Isn’t Just About Architecture
- The temple represents God’s presence, worship, and government.
- He’s showing Ezekiel—and us—what it looks like when Jesus reigns physically.
- Our God Is a God of Restoration
- From judgment (chapters 1–39) to hope and glory (chapters 40–48).
- The temple vision is a blueprint for the Kingdom age.
- Jesus Will Physically Reign
- This is not allegory—Amir Tsarfati and many Bible teachers interpret this as a literal future temple during the Millennium.
- Christ will reign from Jerusalem (see Zechariah 14).
- Prepare Now for His Kingdom
- This future is coming—and believers will be part of that rule (Revelation 5:10).
- Live today as a citizen of the coming Kingdom.
