Revelation 20 – The Millennium and the Final Judgment
“And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4)
🔍 CAPTURE THE SCENE (What do I see?)
Following Christ’s victorious return in Revelation 19, Satan is bound, and Jesus establishes His 1,000-year reign on earth. After that, Satan is released briefly for one final rebellion, which is swiftly crushed. Then comes the Great White Throne Judgment—where the eternal fate of all unbelievers is sealed.
- An angel descends from heaven, binding Satan and throwing him into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years.
- Thrones and judgment are given to resurrected saints—those who did not worship the beast or receive his mark. They reign with Christ for the Millennium.
- After 1,000 years, Satan is released to deceive the nations one last time (Gog and Magog).
- A massive army surrounds God’s people—but fire comes from heaven and devours them.
- Satan is cast into the lake of fire, where the beast and false prophet already are.
- The Great White Throne appears; the dead are judged by their works, and anyone not found in the Book of Life is thrown into the lake of fire.
- This is called the second death.
📖 ANALYZE THE MESSAGE (What does it mean?)
- The Binding of Satan (vv. 1–3)
Amir teaches this is literal—Satan is locked away during Christ’s reign to remove his deceptive influence. The world will finally know what it’s like to live without satanic temptation. - The First Resurrection (vv. 4–6)
This includes the martyred saints and believers from previous ages. They are blessed and reign with Christ. The second death (lake of fire) has no power over them. - The Millennial Kingdom (v. 4)
Jesus rules from Jerusalem for 1,000 years—a literal reign of righteousness, peace, and justice. Promises to Israel are fulfilled (Amir sees this as essential). - Satan’s Final Rebellion (vv. 7–10)
After the Millennium, Satan is released to deceive the nations. This shows man’s heart still rebels, even after a thousand years of perfect rule. God ends the rebellion instantly. - The Great White Throne Judgment (vv. 11–15)
This is the final judgment for unbelievers. No saved person is judged here. Books are opened—one being the Book of Life. If your name is not written in it, you’re cast into the lake of fire forever.

Only faith in Jesus Christ saves. Good works can’t erase sin. Make sure your name is written by grace through faith. - Live With Eternal Perspective
This world is not the end. There is a literal kingdom coming—and then eternity. Everything we do now should be shaped by that reality. - Warn and Witness Boldly
The Great White Throne is final. There is no appeal. Tell others while there’s time. Hell is real—but it’s avoidablethrough Jesus.
