Episode 3: “Rock Bottom”
With my fortune gone, a severe famine hit the land. Desperate and starving, I found work feeding pigs—an unthinkable job for someone of my upbringing. Hungry and humiliated, I even considered eating the pigs’ slop. As I sat in the muck, a realization struck: even my father’s servants lived better than this. It was time to go home, tail between my legs, and beg for a servant’s place in my father’s house.
Episode 4: “The Homecoming”
With a heart full of fear and shame, I trudged back home. I rehearsed my apology, bracing for rejection. But as I neared the house, my father spotted me from a distance. He ran to me, arms wide open, and embraced me with a love I didn’t deserve. “Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and against you,” I began, but he cut me off, calling for a celebration. “This son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”
Episode 5: “The Bitter Pill”
Meanwhile, my older brother, working diligently in the fields, heard the music and dancing. When he learned of my return and the feast in my honor, his heart burned with resentment. “All these years I’ve slaved for you and never disobeyed, yet you never threw a party for me,” he fumed to our father. But my father, with unwavering patience, replied, “My son, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate because your brother was lost and now is found.”

Today, honor your earthly father and our Heavenly Father with gratitude, forgiveness, and love.
