Episode 1: “The Mantle”
As I stand before the people of Israel, the weight of Moses’ mantle on my shoulders, I hear God’s voice reassuring me, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” With this divine promise, I step forward into a role I never sought but am now entrusted with.
Episode 2: “Spy Games”
I sent two brave men into Jericho to spy out the land. They return with tales of their hiding place in Rahab’s house. Her faith in the God of Israel and her agreement to protect the spies in exchange for her family’s safety will be pivotal. This woman’s bravery amidst her city’s walls will change the course of our conquest.
Episode 3: “The Crossing”
We stand at the edge of the Jordan River, the Promised Land just beyond. As the priests carry the Ark of the Covenant into the waters, I watch in awe as the river parts, allowing us to cross on dry ground. Twelve stones are taken from the riverbed as a memorial of God’s faithfulness, marking the beginning of our new journey.
Episode 4: “Battle of Jericho”
Jericho’s walls loom high before us. Following God’s unusual command, we march around the city once each day for six days. On the seventh day, with a shout and the blast of trumpets, the walls fall, and the city is taken. Jericho’s fall is a testament to divine strategy over human might.
Episode 5: “Achan’s Sin”
Victory turns to sorrow as we face defeat at Ai due to hidden sin in our camp. I seek God’s guidance and discover Achan’s disobedience. Achan’s punishment is severe, but it restores purity among the people, reaffirming the importance of obedience to God’s commands.
Episode 6: “The Ambush”
With a renewed strategy from God, I set an ambush for Ai. This time, we achieve a decisive victory. The city falls, and the spoils are taken. My leadership is solidified as the people see the power of following God’s specific instructions.
Episode 7: “The Gibeonite Deception”
I face a group of travelers with worn-out clothes and moldy bread, claiming to be from a distant land. They plead for a peace treaty, and I, believing their story, make a covenant with them. Later, I discover their deception—they are actually nearby Gibeonites. Despite the trickery, I honor the treaty, demonstrating the importance of integrity.
Episode 8: “Sun Stand Still”
In the heat of battle against a coalition of enemy kings, I pray for divine intervention. Miraculously, the sun stands still, prolonging the day until we achieve victory. This extraordinary event is a powerful testament to God’s direct involvement and my unwavering faith in His promises.
