Judas Iscariot

Episode 1: “Becoming a Disciple”

I am Judas Iscariot, chosen by Jesus to be one of His twelve disciples. Leaving my previous life behind, I followed Him, witnessing His miracles and teachings firsthand. I was part of a group destined to change the world.

Episode 2: “Temptation and Greed”

As time went on, I found myself struggling with temptation and greed. The allure of wealth began to cloud my judgment, leading me down a dark path. Despite witnessing Jesus’ power and love, my heart grew restless.

Episode 3: “The Betrayal”

The act that I am most remembered for is my betrayal of Jesus to the chief priests. I went to them and asked, ‘What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?’ They counted out thirty pieces of silver, and from that moment, I sought an opportunity to betray Him.

Episode 4: “The Last Supper”

During the Last Supper, Jesus revealed that one of us would betray Him. I sat in silence, knowing it was me. His words were heavy, filled with sorrow and prophecy. My decision was set, but the weight of it was beginning to bear down on me.

Episode 5: “The Kiss of Betrayal”

In the Garden of Gethsemane, I led the soldiers and officials to Jesus. As a sign to identify Him, I kissed Him, saying, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi!’ This act of betrayal, a kiss, has become synonymous with treachery. The moment was surreal and heart-wrenching.

Episode 6: “Arrest and Condemnation”

Jesus was arrested and condemned, and the reality of my actions hit me hard. I watched as He was taken away, knowing that my betrayal had set these events in motion. Guilt and regret began to consume me.

Episode 7: “Regret and Remorse”

Seeing Jesus condemned, I was seized with remorse. I went to the chief priests, returning the thirty pieces of silver, and said, ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.’ Their cold response, ‘What is that to us? You see to it!’ echoed in my mind as I threw the silver in the temple.

Episode 8: “Tragic End”

Overwhelmed by guilt and regret, I ended my life. My grave, a simple and unmarked one, stands as a stark reminder of the gravity of my betrayal and the depth of my remorse.

Episode 9: “The Field of Blood”

The money I returned was used by the chief priests to buy the Potter’s Field as a burial place for foreigners. This field became known as the Field of Blood, fulfilling a prophecy and adding another layer to the divine orchestration of events surrounding Jesus’s death.

Episode 10: “Lessons from Betrayal”

My story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of greed, betrayal, and the consequences of turning away from Jesus. It highlights the fulfillment of prophecy and God’s sovereignty, even in the midst of human treachery. Despite the darkness of my actions, the Gospels remain a narrative of hope, redemption, and Jesus’s ultimate triumph.
