As the sunflower greets the dawn,
Following the sun till day is gone,
So should we, in faith, arise,
To follow Jesus, with our eyes.
From morning’s light to evening’s rest,
In every moment, we are blessed,
To speak with Him in earnest prayer,
And thank Him for His loving care.
For Jesus died on Calvary,
To set the captive sinner free,
For God so loved the world He gave,
His only Son, our souls to save.
By grace we’re saved, through faith alone,
Not by our works, but Christ enthroned,
Ephesians speaks, as does John,
Of the love that leads us on.
So raise your head and heart each day,
To follow Jesus, come what may,
In every step and song and plea,
Give thanks for His eternity.
