Episode 1: “A Time of Famine”
I am Ruth, a Moabite woman, and my story begins during a time of famine. Naomi and her family arrive in our land, escaping the scarcity in Bethlehem. I marry Naomi’s son, Mahlon, and find a new family. But soon, tragedy strikes, and my husband dies, leaving me a widow.

Episode 2: “The Crossroads”
After the deaths of her husband and sons, Naomi decides to return to Bethlehem. She urges me and Orpah, my sister-in-law, to stay in Moab. Orpah reluctantly agrees, but I cannot bear to leave Naomi. I tell her, “Where you go, I will go; your people will be my people, and your God, my God.” Together, we set out for Bethlehem.

Episode 3: “The Gleaners”
In Bethlehem, we arrive with nothing. To provide for us, I go to the fields to glean leftover grain. It is hard, humble work, but I find favor in the eyes of Boaz, a kind and wealthy landowner. He ensures my safety and provides generously, asking about my loyalty to Naomi.

Episode 4: “A Redeemer’s Kindness”
Boaz’s kindness is beyond measure. He invites me to eat with his workers and instructs his men to leave extra grain for me. Naomi sees hope in Boaz’s generosity and tells me he is a relative, a potential kinsman-redeemer. Her plan is to seek his protection.

Episode 5: “The Threshing Floor”
Following Naomi’s guidance, I approach Boaz at the threshing floor after the harvest. In the night, I lay at his feet, a sign of seeking his protection. He is startled but moved by my request, promising to do everything he can to redeem me, though another kinsman has the first right.

Episode 6: “The Public Proposal”
Boaz goes to the town gate, where business is conducted, and speaks with the nearer kinsman. He offers the man the right to redeem Naomi’s land, but when he learns it includes marrying me, he declines. Boaz then claims the right, publicly declaring his intention to redeem Naomi’s land and marry me.

Episode 7: “A New Beginning”
Our marriage is a joyous occasion. Boaz and I begin a new chapter, and soon, we are blessed with a son, Obed. Naomi’s joy returns as she holds her grandson, and the women of Bethlehem celebrate with her, praising God for His provision and restoration.

Episode 8: “Legacy of Love”
My son Obed grows, and I see the hand of God in our lives. Obed becomes the father of Jesse, who is the father of David, the future king of Israel. My story, a Moabite widow’s journey of loyalty and faith, becomes a testament to God’s redemption and grace, woven into the lineage of a great king.
